This study is a supplementary post to the one hundred reasons why Christians shouldn't celebrate Christmas. I will be going over passages in the bible that show an uncanny similarity between Santa Claus and the Lord Jesus.
Isn't it interesting that Santa spells Satan if you just move the letter n to the back? Anagrams is the way the occult hides names or words by rearragnging the letters thereien. Satan has been trying to steal worship from God and exalt himself as God for a long time (Isa 14:12, Luk 4:5-7).
Scripture teaches us that with God all thinbgs are possible (Gen 18:14, Mat 19:26). So why do we have children all across the globe praying to Santa clause and writing letters to him asking him to do things only God can do? This kind of Action isn't cute, parents should rebuke their children for praying to a false god. They should tell their kids what happened to Ahaziah when he sent to inquire of Beelzebub concerning his sickness instead of the Lord ( 2 Kin 1:1-4).
Where does Santa live? In the North (Psa 48:1-2, Eze 8:14). He is Omnipresent, children are taught that santa is watching them so they better be good (Psa 139:7-8, Pro 15:3). Santa and Jesus both have a beard (Isa 50:6), both wear red apparal (Isa 63:1-3, Rev 19:13). God and Santa are both depicted with white hair (Dan 7:9, Rev 1:14). santa is depicted as coming down a chimney, God is depicted with feet as if they burned in a furnace (Hab 3:5, Rev 1:15). Tradmark : Santa is Ho Ho Ho! God is Ho ho, coincidence? I think not (Zec 2:6). santa knows if youve been bad or good (Omniscience) Mat 6:8, 1 Cor 3:20.
Santa is sometimes depicted with a plant crown on his head (Mat 27:29, Mar 15:17). Santa's occupation is carpentry (Mar 6:3). Every year parents bring their children to sit on santa's lap to be blessed (Mar 10: 13-16). Both have naughty/nice list (Rom 14:12, Rev 20:11-12). Acending up on high and giving gifts (1 Thes 5:2). Apparently neither had a beggining or end (Heb 7:3). Santa also rode on a white horse until the 1821 poem "the childrens friend" (Rev 19:11).
So in conclusion, instead of teaching your child to venerate and pray to a make believe jolly ol fat guy who makes toys, Christians should be raising their kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph 6:1-4).
