Prophecy And Mathematical Probability

For this post I want to ask the viewer, what are the chances that someone could have actually fulfilled the prophecies that are written of in scripture (just 8) from the time that they were written until the present day. That is if these prophets were not directed by God. Allow me to give you an illustration of this kind of probability.

The chances that one person could fulfill just eight of the 300+ old testament messianic prophecies accidentally is 1 in 10 to the power of 17. Peter Stoner provides an illustration to help us understand such odds. "...take 10(17) silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes but he must pick up one specific silver dollar that has been marked. what chance would he have of getting the right [coin]?"  

In conclusion it is next to impossible for someone to by chance fulfill just a small number of the hundreds of prophecies which Jesus himself fulfilled, this can mean nothing other than Jesus is who he claimed to be God in the flesh. Jesus fulfilled prophecies that couldn't have been set up by a mere man. Prophecies such as were he would be born, how he would die, the amount of money given for his betrayal, his family lineage, casting lots for his vesture, and so much more.
