Evidence for the Real Mount Sinai

Greetings my blog viewers, today it will be my pleasure to mention some amazing discoveries that verify the account of Exodus and other portions of scripture. These discoveries come from the fields of geology and archeology, with that said lets go ahead and get right into it.

It turns out that the Sinai peninsula may not actually be the location for the true Mount Sinai of the bible. Why do I say that you wonder? Well for the lack of evidence for the events that occurred for one thing, and another reason is because of the reason why that site was chosen as the "true" location for Mount Sinai. It was because Roman emperor Constantine who believed that's where it was sent his mom over there to establish a church; then two centuries after Justinian established St Catherine's monastery at the location.

So where is the actual Mt. Sinai?

It turns out that Saudi Arabia has a location that is a great candidate for the real Mt. Sinai.
To keep this posts short I will just list several features of the area that shows that it most likely is the actual place, I will be providing scriptural reasons as well.

•  The bible tells us that Agar is Mt. Sinai in Arabia (Gal 4:25)
•  Moses fled to Midian (Exo 2:15), In Exodus 3:1-2 Moses encounters the burning bush at the mountain of God/HorebGod told Moses that when he brought the people out of Egypt you would serve God on this mountain (Exo 3:12). the Israelites were brought there (Exo 17:6, 18:1-5). See also Mal 4:4
•  It has a mountain range and includes a cave 1 Kings 19:8-9.
•  It has a brook coming from the mount, this might be were Moses cast the dusts from the idol (Deut 9:21). 
•  There appears to be several/many wells at the location.
•  About a mile from the base of the mountain is an ancient altar with petrogliphs of cows and bulls, horns thereof drawn in egyptian style representing the gods Hathor and Apis. Further verifying Exo 32.
•  After the discovery the site was closed of and the just the price of the fencing shows how seriously the Saudis are taking this.
•  12 Pillars found Exo 24:4.
•  What appears to be the rock of Horeb (where waters gushed out) is found there (Exo 17:6).
• The top of the mountain is blackened, perhaps charred by fire (Exo 19:18, Heb 12:18). 

In conclusion we see that all these similarities to the scriptures tell us that this area is almost definitely the true Mt. Sinai of the bible, further verifying the account of Exodus.
