Confucius was baffled by what a previous sage Lao Zi called the Dao "the Dao exist as one. one exist as two. two exists as Three. and Three created everything. "God and the Ancient Chinese" by Samuel Wang, Ethel R. Nelson, 2002 Pg 61 and 70. The Dao also is the name of the sacred doctrines handed down over the eons. Confucius passed on the Dao to Mencius, his book has a remarkable prophecy.
Yao and Shun to Tang 500 years, Tang to Wen 500 years, Wen to Confucius 500 years, The King should Arise in ...500 years. lines up with the birth of Christ. "...require 30 years for his love to be manifested."
This ties in with the wise men in Matt 2. they were looking for the Dao himself.
Buddhist scripture roughly 500 b.c Quote " the Holy one who will keep the world in the future will be like this: in the palm of his hands and in the flat of his feet will be the design of a disk, in his side will be a stab wound; and his forehead will have many marks like scars... do not look for salvation in the old way; there is no salvation in it for sure. quit the old way. and there will be a new spirit like the light of a lightning bug which will come down from the sky above to live in all of your hears...". Even Islam and the Koran points to Jesus as being a true and great prophet.
