You certainly cannot find any recorded words from Jesus or his apostles about such a notion, which would be the highest standard of authority possible for the development of dogma. "Utter nonsense" is your apparent inability to see yourself as your own person and critically evaluate sources to reach any given conclusion as to whether they are reasonable or not. Charges of arrogance on the part of dissidents are a common method of gas lighting used by cults. Prayers to deceased "saints" and purgatory are textbook examples of Roman Catholicism being unduly influenced by Greco-Roman paganism. That was part of what the Reformers sought to rid themselves of. Oh yeah, the Bible is such a Catholic book that the Catholic Church had to keep it out of the hands of "laypeople" through the Middle Ages. To add insult to injury, Catholic apologists either downplay or invent justifications for how this kind of behavior could be fitting of professing Christian leaders, seeming completely unfazed by it. The Old Testament utilized by Protestants isn't any more incomplete or corrupt than that used by the Jews, and anyone who has even cursory knowledge of canon formation knows how diligently they worked to preserve their texts. You're just an ass who wants to poison minds with your bigotry.
