What is Asperger's syndrome?



Today I feel like covering Asperger's Syndrome, so what is it?
Asperger's Syndrom is an autism spectrum disorder, it is not a disease it is a syndrome ( a collection of symptoms that occur together with a condition).


Not all people have the same symptoms, here are some of the most common signs and symptoms.
1. obsessive interest- Those with Asperger's Syndrome may be experts in a single object or topic, these activities usually involve collecting, numbering, or listing.

2. Speech is formal or distinct-  There may be a lack of rhythm or intonation in how a person with Asperger's speaks, utterances may come out a flat, monotonous or unusually slow or fast.
3. Routines- Those with Aspergers may like routines and a surprise change in routine can cause upset or anxiety.

4. social Isolation- withdrawn and seem uninterested in other people, or has inappropriate or odd behavior.

5. social skills and communication- May have difficulty understing or interpreting gestures, facial expressions, tone of voice. The natural ability of knowing when to start or end a conversation may be weak. May not easily understand jokes, humor, figures of speech, or irony. banter and may come across as lacking empathy.

6. Sensory difficulties- one or all of the senses can be altered.. senses either intensified or underdeveloped. related conditions include anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD. the syndrome may be passed on from parent to child. eye contact may be very limited, tendency to talk about their singular interest.
