A Glance At Shinto

For today's article I will briefly be covering the beliefs of an ancient religion of Japan known as Shinto. As usual I will be contrasting these beliefs with the teachings of scripture in order to show how different Shinto is from Christianity. Okay, lets begin.

The Santa Claus Deception

This study is a supplementary post to the one hundred reasons why Christians shouldn't celebrate Christmas. I will be going over passages in the bible that show an uncanny similarity between Santa Claus and the Lord Jesus.

c. Romans    Laurel wreaths Sacred to sun god apollo: believed this is where the seasonal hanging wreaths on doors came from.

d. Romans   Saturnalia         Gift giving

e. Red and Green are the colors used for this particular witches sabbat.

f. Celtic      winter solstice       Yule log

g. Romans   Saturnalia   Dies Natalis Invicti Solis (Dec. 25, the birthday of the unconquered sun)

h. Romans/Pagans   Saturnalia/ Yule festivities       Candles were lit to encourage the sun to grow stronger.

I. 8 reindeer is a symbol of the 8 sabbats and the horned one. used to be an 8 legged horse that Odin would ride on

J. Caroling/ Wassaling

K. Evergreen tree  Vikings, Saxons, and Celts worshiped them.

It was believed Odin left gifts under them, Greeks worshipped Adonia by decorating them.
