For today's article I will be examining a few beliefs of four of the strangest religions that I have come across. Although I won't be going into great detail on these specific religions I will still include some bible verses in order to refute these false teachings.
# 1. Creativity Movement
This is the first weird religion that I will be covering today. It was formerly known as the world church of the creator and was founded by a man named Ben Klassen in 1973. The use of the word creator in their name doesn't refer to a particular deity, instead it refers to themselves (whites). This religion can be summed up as a Atheistic movement for white people.
The idea of racism, that is the belief that one race is supeior to another is very unbiblical. God made all men of one blood (Act 17:26), and in Christ Jesus there is neither Jew nor Greek
(Gal 3:28, Col 3:11). God made the heavens by his word (Psa 33:6).
#2. Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth
(yes this how they actually spell their Religion)
TOPY was Founded in 1981 by a number of individuals including Coil, current 93, and Psychic TV. T.o.p.y is all about the appearance of Magical ideas without the worship of gods or Mysticism. Their Focus seems to be on the alleged Psychic/magical aspect of the human brain conjoined with sexuality without guilt.
There are numerous bible verses that either condemn seeking after wizards (Lev 19:31, Lev 20:6), or using enchantments/ divination (Deut 18:10-12, Lev 19:26, 2Ki 17:17). If the adherents to this religion really knew how dangerous to their well being these practices are i.e practicing magic, they would get as far away as possible from it. This is because sorcerer's will end up in the lake of fire (Rev 21:8).
#3. Chuch of Euthanasia
This was a political organization that began with Chris Korda around the Boston, Massachusetts area of the U.S. Their goal is to restore the balance between mankind and the other species on this planet. Their one commandment is thou shalt not reproduce. The four pillars of this religion are Suicide, Abortion, Cannibalism of the already dead, and Sodomy.
The earth is not overcrowded whoever thinks so needs to get out more. Take a road trip across your country and you are likely to find miles and miles of land with either no one on it or virtually so. This religion's command not to procreate blatantly defies God's command to do so in Gen 9:1 and Gen 9:6 -7.
#4. Nuwaubianism
Nuwaubianism is a word used to refer to the beliefs or teachings of the followers of Dwight York. It started as a black Muslim group in New York in the 1970's. Here is just a few of their strange beliefs. A). you should bury afterbirth in order to prevent Satan from using it to make a clone of the child. B) Some aborted fetus's survive and gather in sewers and plan to take over the world. C). Women existed many generations before they created Males through the use of Genetic manipulation.
My Question is how they reproduced until they invented men? The fact is that according to scripture the woman was created for the man and not the other way around (1Cor 11:9, 1Ti 2:13), man was made first.
In conclusion we see that these beliefs are either simply false with no evidence to back them up, hateful (racism), or physically/spiritually dangerous (magic or suicide/abortion). Therefore I don't think anyone should be a part of these religions.
