Growing up one of the popular tv shows that I enjoyed as a kid was the X-men cartoon and live action movies. Supposedly these "hero's" got their abilities through mutations caused by Evolution. Now we know there are very few if any actual beneficial mutation examples in the real world; however this posts isn't going to focus so much on the creation evolution debate but rather show that the abilities of some of these characters are best explained by the biblical worldview (aka are supernatural & the works of Satan) and not something that we would expect animals of the real world to be able to acquire.
Disclaimer: I strongly urge my readers to pray before looking at any of the references provided as they contain clips of magicians practicing witchcraft. I don't want to be the cause of a spiritual attack so watch at your own risk.
For this article we will be looking at 7 X-men Characters and comparing them to real world people to show that these are not fictional abilities but supernatural ones employed by the forces of evil.
1. Professor Xavior- Telepathy. For this example I needn't list an actual person since there are countless people out there that claim to read minds. Fortune tellers and Psychics. They use devils to find out what their clients are thinking. That's if they can even read minds at all. However while working on this article I've decided to list one person Chris Angel who has demonstrated this ability in the link or references provided.
2. Jean Grey- Telekinesis; which seems to be a more common ability in the X-man universe as there are quite a few mutants that possess either it or telepathy. Again this one doesn't need a specific example as there are many magicians who have demonstrated this ability, either through witchcraft or illusion; but I will provide some anyway Hans Klok, Yif. Cyril.
3. Nightcrawler- Teleportation. Cyril.
4. Storm- She can control the weather as well as levitate. I'm pretty sure many of my readers have seen levitation acts before, while it's true some of these acts and perhaps the majority of them are done with things like a curtain and crane, I am also aware however that there are levitation acts out there that defy physical explanations. 5. Kitty Pryde- Kitty has the ability to Walk through Solid walls as if she was a ghost or something. Here are a few magicians who did something similar. David Copperfield, Dynamo, Yif
6. Mystique- The ability to change her appearance drastically. Although I've heard stories of witches being able to change their form; whether it's true or not I do know one thing the Bian Lian (An asian face changing routine) does seem to be Impossible from a natural perspective.
7. Wolverine- Healing Factor/Invunerablilty. David Blaine needle in arm, Peter Marvey.
In Summery we can see that the abilities of many X-men are not a fantasy but actual abilites of real world people; albeit through the forces of evil. It is this authors belief that it's more plausible that these powers are best explained by supernatural causes that random chance mutations over time.
The Youtube channel in the link provided (Xendrius) has a playlist of demon magicians video's. Although I highly recommend not watching them Please, as they are highly vexing to us Christian audiences.
