Health Suggestion Guide Pt 8 of 10. Dangers in the Home Pt 2

 


G'day Y'all, I hope everyone is dong fine, in this post we will be going over twenty items that pose some sort of health risk. Whether hardware, pets, electronics, or other; these items should be used with caution or not used at all. With that said, let's dive straight into it


1. Ladder- The #1 most dangerous tool according to the link provided are ladders. They caused nearly 194,000 injuries in 2017; as well as around 300 deaths per year.

2. Paint Thinners- can cause a wide array of health issues including headaches, respitory distress, nausea, skin irritation, and inhaling it can cause many different syptoms including hearing loss, numbness, and muscle weakness. 

3. Weed Killers- Glyphosate may cause cancer and can cause infertility, liver/kidney damage, and may affect your gut microbiome. 



4. Vapes- are bad for one's heart and lungs, can also cause nicotine addiction. 

5. iPod- may cause pain, tinnitus, hearing loss, infection; and may cause cancer.

6. Trash Bags- may contain harmful fragrances (see pt. 7 in this series).

7. Micro waves- While there are mixed opinions on the internet as to whether microwaving food is harmful, i personally don't own and almost never use one. The Weston A. Price link provided below may prove a useful resource for anyone who wishes to know more about why caution should be used when using a microwave. 

8. Parchment paper- May contain dangerous PFAS.

9. Mouthwash- Destroys your oral microbiome, it kills even the good bacteria which are essential for oral health. 

10. Bug foggers- Headaches, coughing, shortness of breath, and vomiting.

11. Bug Spray- Blurred vision, nausea, and eye irritation.

12. Aquariums- Good for fish, not for rats; as it lacks space to move and has poor ventilation. 

13. Rawhide- can cause choking, and/or intestinal blockages.

14. Cat food- The dry kibble can cause urinary tract infections, as well as diabetes and kidney disease.

15. Flea and Tick Shampoo- Serious side effects include diarreah, vomiting, and breathing problems.

16. Mattresses- (fire retardants) Skin irritation, memory problems, organ damage, and even cancer. 

17. Diapers- In addition to being uncomfortable, diapers may cause skin rashes, toxicity, allergic reactions and infection. 

18. Hand Sanitizer- In addition to skin issues and eye/lung problems; sanitizers may also include harmful ingredients such as Methonal, Triclosan, and Benzene, which are linked to severe health problems. 

19. Deodorant- Avoid aluminum (may cause cancer), and propylene glycol (Dermatitus). 

20. Mold- In addition to respiratory problems, mold toxicity may also cause other side effects such as headaches, visual changes, and fatigue. Mold expert and Medical practitioner Dr. Jill Carnahan has noted that a large percentage of her patients who had health problems like chronic fatigue, cognitive problems and weight gain have had exposure to mold.
