Exposing The Law Of One

Today we are going to cover a few beliefs from a religion that probably isn't very well-known. It's called The law of one. I, of coarse will also show why I believe this religion is dangerous and should be avoided at all cost.




The first problem I see with this religion in particular is that it is derived from a Series of books "channeled" by Carla Ruechkert, Don Elkins and Jim McCarty between 1981-1984. This fact alone should make anyone who is familiar with the bible steer clear of it as the practice of channeling "familiar spirits" was condemned by scripture (Lev 20:27, Deu 18:11-12).

The entity refers to itself as Ra. It just so happens that Ra is the name of the Egyptian Sun god. They claim that Ra is of extra terrestrial origin and that he visited earth 11,000 yrs ago to help mankind with his mental evolution. They also teach that he visited ancient Egypt to help build the Pyramids.  The bible however teaches that other "gods" are actually devils and that we are not to fellowship with them (Deu 32:17, Psa106:36-38, 1Cor10:20). This religion also teaches that mankind originally came from mars, and that the universe is at least hundreds of thousands of years old if not millions/billions or even beginning-less. (See Luke chapter 3 for proof that the earth is not millions of years old.)

To me it is quite obvious that they are contacting a devil because this "Ra"calls marriages a contamination of the sexual, instead he suggest the free giving one to another in "love".  The bible teaches us that marriage is honorable and that a wife is a good thing (Heb 13:4, Pro 18:22). Just take a moment to think about it without marriage their would be no commitment in relationships. STD's would spread, children would be raised fatherless or be aborted, and people would only care about themselves and satisfying their sexual urges.

It seems to me that the little bit of the material that I did read, that the author tried to impress his audience with a wide vocabulary of advanced words in order to impress upon the reader that they were actually speaking to a highly evolved extraterrestrial. What does the bible say regarding this kind of thing however (Rom 16:18, 1Co 2:4, Eph 4:14, Col 2:4, Col 2:8).

In conclusion the Law Of One teaches many unbiblical doctrines, supports the liberal lifestyle, and In my opinion cannot be trusted for truthful information.
