Islam: Anti-Science, Anti-Logic

Hello everyone, I hope that your day is going well. For today's article I thought that I'd cover a few problems that I've encountered concerning the Islamic faith. In this short article I will be covering only four of them, and here they are.

Muhammad and Health

The first problem is found in Sahih Muslim 5521
These passages teach that there is no such thing as transitive (i.e contagious) diseases.
Transitive diseases are diseases that are transmitted from one person or animal to another.
Other Islamic sources that support this doctrine (There is no 'Adwa Nor Hamah, Nor Safar' 2143) and (Hadith 1615).  What's more is according to the following reference it is perfectly ok to wash in water that has come in contact with dog carcasses, menstruation cloths, and filth ( The book of Purification ch 34. 66.). "Indeed, water is pure, and nothing impurifies it" (Sunin Aba Dawud 67.)

Of coarse the microscope probably wasn't very widespread back then, so it is no suprise that Muhammad didn't know about dangerous micro organisms. He even prescribes a cure for every disease except death... the black seed. [5768] 89

Jesus' Crucifixion

The second problem for Islam that I want to talk about today is regarding the crucifixion, which is well attested to in not only the gospels (Mat 12:40, Mark 8:31, Luk 22:19,  John 2:19-22), but in secular sources as well. The religion of Islam however doesn't teach that Jesus was crucified, but instead he only appeared to have died and then God took him to heaven (Quran Sura 4:157). This is a problem because Islam also teaches that Jesus was indeed a great prophet. If Jesus didn't die then the Quran is wrong about Jesus being a good prophet but if Jesus did die then the Quran is still wrong about Jesus not being crucified.

Solomon and his Wives

The third problem I want to address is located in Sahih Muslim 4289. (WARNING THIS PART IS A BIT GRAPHIC AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR YOUNGER AUDIENCES). Here is the quote "Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying that Sulaiman b. Dawud (once) said: I will go round in the night to my ninety wives, and every one of them will give birth to a child (who will grow up) as a horseman and fight in the cause of Allah His companions said to him: Say Insha' Allah. but he did not say Inshii' Allah. He went round all of them but none of them became pregnant but one, and she gave birth to a premature child. And by Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, if he had said, Insha' Allah (his wives would have given birth to the children who would all have grown up into horsemen and fought in the way of Allah).

This is a very far fetched tale that Muhammad gives of King Solomon. Are we really expected to believe that Solomon finished the act (aka reached climax) with 90 different women in one night?
Let's suppose that he started at 6 pm and didn't finish until 3 am that would mean Solomon copulated with 10 women an hr for 9hrs straight. That's 1 woman per six minutes.
While it's certainly possible that God could've miraculously enabled King Solomon to do this, I don't think that this is the case for a few reasons.

1. Nowhere in the bible is anything like this recorded about king Solomon and I am unaware of any non-Muslim sources for this event.
2. Solomon was acting against God's will by marrying multiple wives per Dt 17:17, so while then would God bless him in this endeavor.
3. This passage stated that if Solomon only said if Allah wills he would have had 90 sons birthed to him from these women. Since Solomon was indisputably one of if not the wisest king ever, why didn't he learn his lesson and try again?
4. Did God give Solomon this ability supernaturally? There are many miracles recorded in the bible
from God delivering the children of Israel from the Egyptians to him sustaining them in the wilderness, to helping an impoverished widow settle her debt, to Jesus healing the sick and casting out devils just to name a few. The point I desire to make is this, all these miracles helped people with significant problems, in contrast however I just don't see God giving someone the miraculous ability to go on a sex binge and to impregnate nearly a hundred women at once, but that just my opinion.

Allah and Math

The fourth and final problem for adherents of Islam is that their god Allah can't pass a 3rd grade math class. According to Quran 4:11-12  if a man had only daughters and both his parents and wife were still alive when he died and if the amount of inheritance he left them was let's say 24,000 dollars he would be expected to leave 16,000 to his daughters, 4,000 to his mom, 4,000 to his dad, and 3,000 to his wife, even if you don't include debt or legacies that 27,000 out of 24,000.

In conclusion, and this is no attack on Muslims themselves but instead the writings of the Islamic faith, it would seem that following Islam would be hazardous to one's health since they don't believe in communicable diseases. One would have to find a way around the seeming contradiction in regards to the Jesus dilemma of part 2, and I'm sure that I am not the only one who is skeptical about the tale regarding the wealthiest king of Israel.
