Why the New King James is not the King James! updated

Scripture taken from the New King James Version®. Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

Good day readers, for this article i'm going to point out some problems with the NKJV of the bible in order to show how it is different from the regular  KJV. The NKJV is another word for word translation of the bible which in my opinion is the best kind of bible. However that is assuming that it is translated correctly and they don't leave stuff out. As I stated before in a previous article KJV is written in blue, New version is red, and my remarks are black.

Exo 16:28  And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
Exo 16:28 changes ye to "...you..."
Was God angry at Moses or Israel?

2Ki 23:29  In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
2 King 23:29 changes against to "...aid..."
Those are opposite meanings.

Job 31:1  I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
Job 31:1 "...look upon..."
God doesn't Just Judge us on our Actions but on our thoughts too!

Pro 11:16  A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
Pro 11:16 changes strong to "...ruthless..." (see Pro 13:22)
Throughout this chapter it shows the blessings of the righteous vs the curses of the wicked, why would this verse be an exception?

Pro 18:8  The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Pro 18:8 changes wounds to "...tasty trifles..."
So Gossiping is a good thing according to this translation?

Pro 25:23  The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
Pro 25:23 "...brings forth rain..."
Again opposite meaning

Isa 66:5 removes he shall appear
Micah 1:8 owls changed to "ostriches,"

Joh 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:7 changes ye to "...You..."
Was it just Nicodemus who needed to be saved or all of us?

Act 12:4  And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
Act 12:4 changes Easter to "...Passover."
Passover just occurred are we to expect he was going to keep Peter in jail with four guards for a full year. Why would a Pagan King observe Passover? Num 28:16-17

Romans 4:25  "...raised because of our justification."

Rom 13:2  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
13:2 changes damnation to "...judgment..."
Damnation and Judgment aren't always the same thing, Christians aren't damned; but both the Saved and Lost will be Judged according to their works.

2Co 2:17  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
2 Cor 2:17 changes corrupt to "...peddling..."
The KJV shows that people were changing God's word even in the first century, Thus showing the older is better argument for newer translations isn't always the best method for determining scriptures accuracy. To peddle is to sell something and thus changes the verse meaning.

Col 2:16  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:16 changes holyday to "...festival..."
We are not to Judge someone if they choose to observe some of God's holydays of the Old Testament such as the feast of weeks, booths, or passover however we are to Judge someone if they are observing Pagan Festivals which worship devils.

1Th 5:22  Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thess 5:22 "...every form of..."
I believe newer versions get this wrong because God doesn't want us to do something even if it just looks wrong, as Christians we have our testimony to think about.

1Ti 6:20  O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Tim 6:20 replaces science with "...knowledge-"
Evolution is a Science falsly so called, it's a shame it isn't in this verse of the NKJV.

Heb 2:16  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Heb 2:16 "...not give aid to..."
The Context of this passage makes it clear that it's talking about Jesus being made flesh, not that he's helping someone or something. Thus this passage of this version is in error.

Heb 3:16  For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Heb 3:16 "...was it not all who came out...?"
The way they put this verse it implies everyone who came out of Egypt rebelled but we know Joshua and Caleb Wholly followed the Lord. Num 32:11-12

2Jn 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 Joh 1:7 "...as coming in the flesh..."
This is a change in either past/present/or future tense.

2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2 Joh 1:10 "...greets him..."
This passage claims you sin when you say hi to someone you don't even know if they don't have the doctrine of Christ when they meet you. Whereas to bid someone God speed is to encourage that said person as they are leaving, hoping God will bless them in what they are doing and thus partaking in their sin.

(some of these bibles have occult symbol on them)
It's called the Triquetra.
