The unbiblical teachings of the word of faith movement

This is a popular movement among Christianity today that is spreading several damnable heresies and it driving people further away from God's truth, I am talking of coarse about the word of faith movement. So I thought I would go over a few of these lies that teachers of the word of faith promote so as to warn you not to get involved in this cult. (Note: the information in this post is from the video: clouds without water by Justin Peters)

The first thing i will cover today is that proponents of the word of faith movement state that we are little gods and that we are capable of speaking things into existence the same way God did in the first chapters of Genesis. They believe this because they misinterpret Psa 82 and Joh 10.

The word of faith movement teaches that Jesus hasn't always been God which is contrary to Mic 5:2. They also believe he had to suffer in hell to pay for our sins, but the bible teaches us otherwise (Lev 17:11, Joh 19:30, Col 1:20, Col 2:14).

It's not surprising that teachers of the word of faith claim that much of what they teach comes from direct divine revelation (that is God told them directly, not through his word). see Isa 8:20, 1 Cor 14:32.

In the Prosperity gospel God isn't the object of our faith, faith is.
They believing in using faith as a force aimed at God to make him do what you want him to do. They don't believe in praying according to God's will. They instead teach that you should have faith in your faith (Mar 11:22, 1 Joh 5:14).

Other false teachings by certain individuals in this group include Osteen claiming God stopped Zacharias speech so it wouldn't mess up his plan, Another claims God can't do anything on earth without someone praying for it, (Psa 135:6, Eph 1:11) and Kenneth Copeland claims that Adam was an exact duplicate of God and when he sinned his Godhood was transferred to Satan and God lost his legal right to the earth and was banished from it.

In Conclusion don't fall for the word of faith movement, it presents a false gospel (Gal 1:6-9). We don't come to Jesus to become rich and healthy, we come to have our sins forgiven (1 Tim 6:5-11). So watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing, such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo dollar, and Joyce Myer. (Rom 16:17-18).
