Exposing the Passion Translation Edited

For today's post, I will be going over 18 or so verses from the Passion "Translation". I use the brackets because this isn't real translation even though it says so. You will soon find out that Brian Simmons adds and changes the words of scripture. Most of this article will focus on the verse corruption themselves. For more information about the maker of the Passion translation please consider checking out the link below. I will make KJV IN BLUE, the PASSION in RED, and my comments in Black. I am going to list some other relevant information before we actually get into the scripture themselves. It would seem that the Passion translation is of the Dynamic Equivalence Type. It was first published in 2017.

I was researching the rules of Copyright on this particular bible and it turns out I could posts up to 250 verses but I won't even need a tenth amount of that amount to show you why this translation should be avoided at all costs! I will have to apologize in advance in I appear long winded in this article as another copyright guideline states the Passion quotes can only make up 20% of the work so I'm going to have to write quite a bit just to make sure I don't violate copyright guidelines.

Why you shouldn't read the NIV

Can You Find Which bible Verses these pictures are referring to?

Well, I hope everyone is having a good day. For today's post we are going to be examining the NIV bible and comparing it to the KJV to see how they line up. I will only be Adding complete kjv verses to the NIV passages were i list that they changed something, not to the ones were I just mention that they removed or omitted words/verses. This way hopefully my article won't be too long.

Gen 7:1  And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Gen 7:1 "...Go into the ark..."
Where was God when He instructed Moses to Enter the Ark? Was he in the ark as the KJV implies or outside the Ark as this translation implies.

Gen 32:32  Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.
Gen 32:25 changes thigh to "...hip..."
Different part of the body.

Gen 38:9  And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
38:9 changes seed or it to "...semen..."
Not very kid friendly in my opinion.

Exo 6:3  And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
Exodus 6:3 Replaces JEHOVAH with "...the LORD..."
(this makes God a liar, because Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did indeed call him Lord in Gen 18:27, Gen 27:20). If this passage is correct then the rest of the bible can't be trusted.

The Darby Translation Exposed (Updated}

Genesis 3:15 bruise changed to crushed
I might be a little nit picky with this one but Jesus' bones were never broken (Joh 19:36).

Gen 4:1 I have acquired a man with Jehovah
This makes it sound like eve and God did unmentionable things.

2Sa 21:19  And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
2 Sam 21:19 "...Elhanan killed Goliath..."  (1 chronicles 20:5)
Obvious Error! he actually killed Lahmi Goliath's brother. This passage would be a contradiction because David slew Goliath.

Proverbs 4:7 understanding changed to Intelligence
Matthew 4:1 led changed to carried   Mat 11:3 the coming One  (title of new age world teacher)
Mat 12:32 world changed to age   Mat 24:14 in the whole habitable earth
Luke 4:8 do homage
Not the Same as worship.

Luk 17:21 kingdom of God is in the midst of you
Luk 21:36 which are about to come to pass   Luk 24:46 from among the dead
John 6:69  the holy one of God
(title used only by devils in the KJV)
Joh 8:11 no one, sir
Joh 7:17 if any one desire to practise his will   Joh 14:16 And i will beg the Father

Differences in the New Revised Standard Version

Can You Find The Verse That This Pic is Referring To?

Hello again viewers, and welcome back. This will be just a short little article showing what your missing out on by not reading the KJV or another translation as you will soon find out the NRSV bible is lacking quite a few words when compared to some other bibles; specifically the KJV.

Mat 19:9  And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
Matthew 19:9 removes the last 11 words

Mat 20:16  So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
Mat 20:16 omits for many be called, but few chosen.

Mat 24:36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:36 Adds "...nor the Son..."
Just because this teaching is in other places of scripture doesn't give the right to insert it here.

Mat 27:35  And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
Matt 27:35 omits the last 25 words

What's the Matter with the New Century version

Well it's time again for another bible review. KJV is blue, NCV is red, my remarks in black. It's a long one so I will go ahead and keep this introduction short, enjoy!
Can you find the two bible changes that these pics are referring to?

Gen 12:19  Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
Genesis 12:19 "...I made her my wife..."

Gen 18:5  And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
Gen 18:5 "...bread for you so you can regain your strength..."
Wasn't Abraham talking to God? Why would God need to regain his strength?

Exo 14:25  And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
Exodus 14:25 He kept the wheels of the chariots from turning..."
Quite a big difference from taking the wheels off.

Lev 26:13  I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
Leviticus 26:13 "...I let you walk proudly again."
Contradicts Hab 2:4  "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith."

Num 16:32  And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
Numbers 16:32 "...all their families..."
Contradiction (Num 26:11).

Num 30:6  And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
Num 30:6 "If a woman makes a pledge...and then get married,"
This is not what this verse is supposed to say. It basically is supposed to say that if she had a husband when she vowed.

Why I don't read the Lexham English version

The Lexham English version is a relatively new translation as it is only a little over a decade old, it's style is the formal equivalence; which is the word for word type. With that being said, I found a few problems with it as y'all with soon find out. Please enjoy my little expose' on the Lexham bible.
Can You Match The Picture With The Verse?

Gen 9:4  But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Genesis 9:4 "...raw flesh with blood in it}."  (LEB)
Some people think that you can cook the blood out of meat, that is not so, you must drain the blood out.

Exo 1:16  And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
Exodus 1:16 "...look upon the pairs of testicles..."  (LEB)
Where do they come up with this stuff?

Ezr 1:9  And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,
Ezra 1:9 "...twenty nine vessels,"   (LEB)
Should say knives

Neh 5:5  Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.
Nehemiah 5:5 "...our daughters being molested..."    (LEB)
They were being brought under bondage, the way this version puts it , it sounds like pedophilia was going on.

Questionable changes in the Revised Standard Version (updated)

Well hello again my dear readers. Today I am rereleasing my article on The RSV EXPOSED.
I wanted to make sure I am within copyright guidelines. The RSV was publish in 1952, and as far as I know it contains all 66 books of scripture. It is a word for word translation.   The RSV quotes will be in red, kjv in blue and my comments in black, Ok lets begin.

Gen 1:5  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 1:5 "...one day." RSV
Gen 1:8  And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
...a second day." RSV
By changing the first day to one day this leaves room for proponants of the gap theory to insert their idea that their was a separate creation before the first week of Genesis.

Gen 9:20  And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
Genesis 9:20 "...Noah was the first tiller of the soil..." RSV
(What about Cain, Gen 4:12)

Exo 21:22  If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
Exodus 21:22 changes fruit depart from her to "...miscarriage..." RSV
I personally thought that fruit depart from her meant that the baby was delivered / premature birth, whereas a miscarriage always means the baby died. If my premise is true then that means a life inside the womb is = to someone already born.

Judges 15:19 removed ...that was in the jaw...

2Sa 5:21  And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
2 Samuel 5:21 "...carried them away." RSV
This makes it seem like David kept the idols, thus committing idolatry.  (1chro 14:12)

2Sa 24:13  So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
2 Sam 24:13 "... three years..." RSV
My guess is because they didn't know that that supposed bible contradiction was actually cleared up quite easily.

1Ki 10:8  Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.
1 Kings 10:8 changed men to "...wives..." RSV

Attention!

Just Letting my Readers know that I will be temporarily pulling down my posts and page on the Bible version Issue until I check to make sure they line up with copyright. As of now i don't have a set date of all their re-release.
